An industry first from the mechanics of Kansas Air Seeder Service. This air hammer attachment is multiple times faster to install the bushings of a drill than the original way of a beater pin. This will cut your work down by many hours as well as save the wear on your body and maybe keep that farm hand around to do it. This is used with the smaller more common air hammer shank size of .401 but also comes in a more heavy duty .498 size shank. These attachments can last up to five or more drills worth of bushings, probably more than most farmers will every have to endure. Like any tool, there are limitations. The best way to keep it from breaking is to not let it rattle off the housing once you drive the bushing fully in. Once you hit the housing, stop. The more it smacks against the housing the closer it is to breaking. There is a step on the attachment that will push the bushing in 1/4 which allows the bushing seals to be installed. Seals should be installed by a pin made for just that purpose that we also make. These are made in Oklahoma, USA at our own machine shop and pressed into modified chisel bits. We have videos on youtube at The Air Seeder Mechanic showing us using these bits and other self-help videos on how to fix your John Deere drill.

Can be used for closing and firming bushings for John Deere 1890, 1895, 1990, 1560, 1590, 1690, 750, 1850 and 1860 models.

On our website, we have a video link of these in use.
