Scottish Highland cow(sold) and heifer (available)

(SOLD) 4 year old unregistered red-brindle cow.

DOB 4/25/2020

She was confirmed bred to our registered black highland bull by our vet on 3/5/2024. She is due to have a calf (the vet was pretty sure she is carrying a heifer calf) between 8/21-9/11/2024.

Full Disclosure - She had an early calf last year that did not make it. Because of this, I didn't feel like her uterus had 'cleaned' properly, so I did take her to the vet. They gave her 300 ProLA (which is an antibiotic shot), and Banamine (which is a pour-on anti-inflammatory). She recovered well from it, and is right on track for a calf this year. She has had no assistance needed or any trouble calving. Great motherly instincts.

(AVAILABLE) 2 year old unregistered red with a small amount of brindle heifer. $2,500

DOB 6/28/2022

She is exposed to our registered black highland bull. She is the 4 year old cow's first calf.

Both the cow and heifer:

-Have been strictly grass fed with occasional alfalfa pellet treats since birth.

-Were both born on my property.

-Have never been given wormers or vaccinated, including bangs.

-Are not overly friendly, but definitely not aggressive. In the spring when they are shedding, they let me brush them.

-Were halter broke when they were young. Neither has had a halter on them from 1 year on.

-Exposed to pigs, horses, llamas, sheep, dogs, and cats. Very calm around other animals and never jumpy or aggressive.

-These cows have been rotationally grazed since they were born. They are very respectful of electric fences and are very used to people, as we walk amongst our fold daily.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions.
